Originally from Detroit, Danny started making films when he was five, and he's simply never stopped. Over the last two decades, he's made a name for himself as a director, editor and writer in the film and commercial world.
He has a variety of films circulating and entering the 2024 festival circuit - he‘s an editor on the feature film “Brooklyn, Minnesota” (premiering at Woodstock Film Festival 2024) starring Academy Award Nominee Amy Madigan, Erik Jensen and Cullen Moss, as well as the short films "No Dogs Die" (best narrative short Miami Projections Film Festival '24) and “The Red Shoe” (Hearts, Minds and Souls Award winner at RIIFF '24, nominated best US Short, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress and Best Ensemble Cast at Soho International Film Festival '24).
His short film, SUPERMAN, starring Rocco Sisto, Christine Spang and Michael Cuomo, premiered at RIIFF 2022, where Michael Cuomo took home the Festival Ambassador Award.
His most recent edit with director Paola Ossa, The Burning Young’s “Quiet Nights” music video, was a Grand Jury Award Nominee at SXSW ’22. “Talk to me in Silence” a short film directed by Julia Ngeow, starring Christina Toth (Orange is the New Black) and Katherine Wallach (Goodfellas, Gangs of New York) continues to foster awards (Best Short - LA Short Film Festival '22, Best Dramatic Short '22 - Atlanta ShortFest '22, Best Actress - NIIFF '22). And his music video for Mike Ward’s “Content” (which he animated, directed and designed) was nominated for Outstanding Music Video at the Detroit Music Awards and the 2022 Michigan Music Video Awards.
Danny edited: Michael Stahl-David's "We Win" which premiered at SXSW and won best screenplay at RIIFF starring Will Jackson Harper (Love Life, The Good Place, The Resort) and Ana Nogiuera; "Remember When" by Paola Ossa starring Shakira Barrera (Glow, What Breaks the Ice, Shameless) and Olivia Perez (In The Heights, Dash & Lily); "Summer Fridays" with Chloe Berk and Blair Baker (Best Actress RIIFF/Short of the Week); and more. He's directed and edited dozens of music videos, including his first feature film, "Fairytales for the Fatherless," a visual album released in 2017.
